Hello Western Days Supporters,
We are so blessed and excited to be asked back to the Lenawee County Fairgrounds for next year. We just found out it will be Tuesday July 25 which is Kids Day!!! What an amazing opportunity to share Christ in our community! We could not have done it without all your support. We thank you for partnering with us to reach the lost and promoting cooperation between churches to reach the community together. We received many comments about how wonderful it was to see the churches work together in one mind and one accord.
Our good friends and missionaries Syd and Liz Doyle, Founders of Nations Light Ministries (http://nationslight.org/index.html), who have ministered in 54 nations seeing 10’s of 1000’s making decisions for Christ, will be heading up the “Partnership Team”. They will be recruting churches to take part in the events and organizing prayer meetings for Western Days.
Their mission is this:
Partnering with the Local Church around the world to fulfill
“THE GREAT COMMISSION”.
I wanted to introduce them to you as you will be receiving updates and emails from them concerning Western Days.
The last few weeks I’ve been meditating on Luke 5. One of the things that I have taken notice to is there were so many fish they had to call for their partners to help and share in the catch.
Luke 5 New Living Translation (NLT)
5 One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee,[a]great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. 2 He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. 3 Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon,[b] its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”
5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6 And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! 7 A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
We have no shortage of lost souls around us. Let us partner together for the catch!
Many Blessings ,
Annie and Jacques Schiller
